Blue, with a white triangle edged in red that is based on the outer side and extends to the hoist side; a brown and white American bald eagle flying toward the hoist side is carrying two traditional Samoan symbols of authority, a staff and a war club.

National flag was officially adopted on April 24 th in the year of 1960. This flag has blue olor as its background. On this blue background there is a white triangle that is bordered by red color. This white triangle stretches from the outer flying side to the hoisting side of the flag. On the white side there is a white and brown American eagle which is carrying a staff and a war club. While the eagle indicates Samoa 's connection with United States, the staff and the club denotes the traditional symbol of power for the Samoan leaders.
