Verbatim Transcription

Scissors being used to edit.

One of the most frequently asked questions we get about our transcription services is "do you offer verbatim transcription?"

For those who don't know, verbatim transcription means that every single verbalization by all speakers in a recording are converted into written text. This means the following will be included in your final, completed transcription:

  • Every "oh," "uh," "hah," or other non-verbal utterance
  • Any back-tracking
  • Stops and pauses
  • Duplications

Most clients would prefer these be left out of the completed transcription, but they can be included upon your request.
