Can you work with a vocabulary list or transcript for my video?

If you have a transcript or vocabulary list for your video, you can send that along with your project, which we will pass along with any additional special instructions to our transcribers and translators as needed.

Do you need full-resolution or master video files?

We do not need full-resolution files, and in fact may only need the audio itself depending on the project and the level of context necessary.

Do your captions meet FCC and ADA requirements?

Translation Services USA guarantees that all of our caption files meet the FCC's requirements for open and closed captioning of video for web and television.

Additionally, all of our caption files meet Section 508 requirements for video captioning and are ADA compliant. That means we guarantee that our caption files are compliant with all ADA requirements related to video captioning.

Do you provide volume/bulk discounts?

We may be able to work with you on a special pricing agreement, depending on your needs and the scope of your project. Fill out our get quote request form and let us know the details of your project, and a salesperson will be in touch with you to discuss these possibilities.

How can I pay for my captions?

We accept most major credit cards as well as PayPal. We can also arrange for other payment methods if necessary, just mention it in your quote request to discuss the options with one of our salespersons.

How will I receive my finished caption files?

Once your transcription is complete, we will send you your caption file by email so that you can review and edit it as necessary and add it to your media.

How do I get my video to you?

If your files are small enough, you can attach them to your quote request. If you have many files, or your files are particularly large in size, we can arrange another method of sending them, including sending physical media (such as a DVD) by mail if preferred.

How long does your captioning service take?

This all depends on the scope of your project, but for most projects we can offer turnaround in under 48 hours for videos 60 minutes or under, and there are no minimum or maximum length requirements.

How can you protect my content?

All of our transcribers and translators must agree to a non-disclosure agreement before working with us. Additionally, if you have your own NDA form, you can send it to us by fax or email and we can have it signed as needed.

What caption or subtitle file formats can you create?

We can create caption files in various formats as well, including Cheetah .CAP (.cap), DFXP (.dfxp), Quicktime Timed Text (.qt.txt), Scenarist (.scc), Spruce Subtitle File (.stl), SubRip (.srt), Timed Text (.ttml), Transcript (.txt), WebVTT (.vtt), and XML (.xml).

What video file formats do you accept?

We currently can accept video (or audio) files in a number of different formats, including AVI, Flash Video, MOV, MP4, Ogg, PCM, VOB, WAV, and 3GP/3GP2.
